Cloudbet review: What Reddit actually thinks + bonuses

As a very experienced crypto casino (established 2013), Cloudbet used to be one of the most trustworthy options out there. Let’s investigate if that is still true in 2026.

Welcome to my extensive AI & human brain -powered review of Cloudbet casino.

My verdict

In 2026, Cloudbet remains a safe harbor in the often-turbulent crypto gambling sea. While it has traded its early-day wild west or Bitcoin early-adaptor persona for a more polished, corporate identity, the core values remains intact.

The Trust Score of 41.7 (Average) is a reflection of a veteran brand that has grown more conservative. It is no longer the hot new thing, and its aggressive limiting of winning sports bettors prevents it from reaching a higher score. This can be also seen on the Reddit sentiment as there is surprisingly few new threads discussing Cloudbet. My look to Reddit and Bitcointalk.org confirms also the average reputation there.

Cloudbet lobby has a dark and purple color scheme in 2026.
Cloudbet has a dark and purple theme now in 2026.

However, for the recreational player who values a big enough game library and a platform that usually pays out, Cloudbet is a solid choice. It’s the reliable Toyota Hiace of crypto casinos. Not flashy, but it gets the job done.

Pros

  • Long history: Operating since 2013 with no major insolvency scandals or missing funds.
  • Transparent bonus model: The 10% rakeback system is fair and lacks the semi-scammy “40x wagering” traps found elsewhere.
  • Good enough game variety: Over 4,000 titles and a top-tier sportsbook covering 37+ sports.

Cons

  • Well-documented history of limiting successful sports bettors to maximum stakes of less than $1.
  • KYC problems: While it’s easy to deposit, withdrawals over $2500 may trigger ID verification.
  • Strict VPN Policy: High risk of account closure and balance confiscation for users attempting to bypass geo-blocks.
  • The Calendar Trap: The welcome bonus requires logging in every 48 hours to claim rewards, or they disappear.

Casino overview & history

Cloudbet is widely considered the Old Guard of the crypto gambling world. While many competitors have risen and fallen since the early days of Bitcoin, Cloudbet has maintained a continuous presence for over a decade starting from ancient 2013.

Personally, I still remember when I reviewed Cloudbet for the first time to my old crypto casino review site (which I don’t own anymore). I had to check the date and it was January 2019 to be exact. Cloudbet was never ranked in the top 5 of my site, but it was a strong average performer from year to year without any problems and scandals.

This is how Cloudbet looked like in 2014. Legendary times. From Webarchive.
This is how Cloudbet looked back in 2014. Oh boy, those were legendary times. Screenshot from Wayback Machine.

Cloudbet was founded in October 2013, inspired by Satoshi Nakamoto’s whitepaper. It was the first major platform to offer a professional-grade sportsbook where users could bet directly with Bitcoin.

On November 14, 2013, the team officially announced the site on the Bitcointalk forum. They were immediately met with “friendly but cautious” skepticism. This was a common reaction in the early days of the wild-west crypto landscape.

Interestingly, the first bet on Cloudbet happened on October 13, 2013. The bet size was 0.12 BTC (worth roughly $24 at the time) on a Korean K-League soccer match. The bet won.

In an era where crypto sites were often amateurish, Cloudbet stood out by offering massive limits. They famously offered a maximum bet of 50 BTC per event, a staggering amount that established them as the premier destination for Bitcoin whales and sharp bettors.

Also, the first deposit bonus was huge back then, 100% up to 5 BTC (see below)! Now Cloudbet has switched to a rakeback bonus, more about that later on in this review.

This is the huge 5 BTC first deposit bonus that Cloudbet had back in 2014. From Webarchive.
This was the first deposit to Cloudbet in 2014. A huge 100% match bonus up to 5 BTC. Those were the times my friend… image from Wayback Machine.

According to the Cloudbet historique, they were among the first to automate the majority of their withdrawals, achieving a 90% instant-payout rate by 2015, which became the industry gold standard.

Later on around 2020, Cloudbet integrated Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and stablecoins like USDT and USDC to the site.

In February 2026, Cloudbet has shifted its strategy from an anonymous Bitcoin propellerhead casino to a more serious corporate-style crypto casino. In Cloudbet’s marketing, it positions itself as a transparent, high-security operator for serious crypto enthusiasts.

Trust score

After my analysis, Cloudbet gets a Trust Score of 41.7 (Average).

The analysis period was this time exceptionally 24 months (regularly 18 months), from February 2024 to February 2026. The AI search crawled Reddit and forums like Bitcointalk. This time I decided to extend the timeframe, as I got too low amount of data with a regular 18 month timeframe (only around 10 valid comments).

Given that Cloudbet’s reputation is pretty much consistent, I think this move will increase data trustworthiness. The review volume was medium with 28 valid comments, of which 12 are positive and 16 negative).

A total of 61 comments were discarded due to low karma, low effort, or affiliate spam.

Cloudbet – Comment data

  • Valid positive comments (P): 12 (42.8%)
  • Valid negative comments (N): 16 (57.1%)
  • Total valid comments (T): 28 (100.0%)
  • Comments discarded: 61

As a result, the below is the calculation of the Trust Score.

Cloudbet – Trust Score

Trust Score formula:

100P+8T+20100\cdot\frac{P+8}{T+20}

Trust Score calculation:

10012+828+20=41.7(Average)100\cdot\frac{12+8}{28+20} = 41.7 \:\text{(Average)}

So from there comes the Trust Score of 41.7 (Average) for Cloudbet.

It’s good to notice that the there are a bigger amount of negative comments (16) than positive (12). But, the nature of feedback online about cryptocasinos is very biased to people complaining more than giving praise, so this score of 41.7 gets a label of Average in my scale.

The full Trust Score scale can be seen below, and you can see where Cloudbet sits on overall. Why the rating scale is so strict? Read more about my review methodology and the overrides here.

✍️ Trust Score Scale Explained

My algorithm analyzes thousands of Reddit comments, and the Trust Score is calculated from the data. The grading is strict — most casinos fail. A score above 50 is exceptional.

65 – 100 Trusted
50 – 64 Good
35 – 49 Average
20 – 34 Risky
0 – 19 Avoid

The both 7-day and 30-day overrides were passed, so on both timeframes the sentiment didn’t rise above the 75% negative feedback threshold. This override would tell if there would be a rug pull scam or some other bigger withdrawal issue going on.

Reddit sentiment

I also checked the Reddit sentiment myself besides my AI search.

It’s easy to notice that Cloudbet is not the most popular crypto casino any more. There are not so much legit discussion about Cloudbet. There are few complaints about KYCs and withdrawals. Some have liked the VIP program (however the comments feel a bit botty and too polished).

In my opinion, the lack of comments can be seen as a neutral thing. If Cloudbet would be a scammy casino, there would be a lot more complaints and negativity in the forums. How I interpret this situation is, that everything should work well with Cloudbet, it just isn’t the hottest crypto casino in 2026.

I will be monitoring the situation, if it changes after time. Few example comments below with sources to original threads.

Bonuses

Cloudbet offers a 10% rakeback (from house edge) up to $2500, for 30 days time. It’s a little bit different than the regular 100% welcome bonuses to other crypto casinos.

Cloudbet bonuses

  • 1st deposit bonus: 10% rakeback up to $2500, for 30 days

You get 10% of the house edge back as rakeback. Also a Vault Bonus after 30 days will be added on top of the $2500.

  • Wagering: No wagering, rewards can be withdrawn or bet again instantly.
  • Minimum deposit: No minimum amount to get the bonus.
  • Bonus code: Not needed, bonus activates automatically.

The Cloudbet first deposit bonus (welcome bonus) is explained a bit unclearly on their website, but here is how I understand it.

Bonus terms

This welcome bonus is valid for 30 days from the time of your first deposit, or until you reach the $2500 cap – whichever comes first. If you don’t hit the $2500 in 30 days, you still keep everything you’ve claimed.

The 10% rakeback is rewarded in many parts. A portion lands instantly in your wallet. The rest unlocks daily on your Rewards Calendar. Also a Vault bonus after 30 days will be added on top of the $2500. Here’s a breakdown:

  • You will get 30% of the bonus instantly.
  • The other 70% is locked in the Rewards Calendar.
  • To get the full bonus (up to $2500), you must log in every 48 hours to claim your installments.
  • If you forget to click Claim the reward within the 24-hour window, that specific slice of your bonus is gone forever.
  • There are also Daily Cash Drops, which Cloudbet grants if they feel generous on that day.
  • After 30 days, you can unloch a Cash Vault bonus on top of the $2500.

After the 30-day first deposit bonus ends, you will be added to the regular Cloudbet reward system.

Cloudbet’s welcome bonus is not a traditional match bonus. It can be thought maybe as a Rakeback Plus for a 30 days time. The total wagers required to actually clear that $2500 is massive, roughly $625k bets on slots or $500k on sports.

Instead of free money, this 30-day bonus is more like a 10% discount on the house edge. It is a good reward for high rollers who were already going to bet six figures, but for a casual $100 depositor, the reward is more like $5 – $10.

The rakeback can be also seen as RTP (Return to player) % boost. If you play a slot with a standard RTP of 96.8%, the house edge is 3.2%. The rakeback will give you 10% of this house edge back, which makes 0.32%. After the rakeback, the real RTP of that slot would be 96.8% + 0.32% = 97.12%, which is a little better than originally.

Still, the best part is that there is no huge “40x” (or even more) wagering requirements. The reward you get is instantly available for betting or withdrawing. This is transparent and fair, despite of the hard bonus clearing.

Game selection

In 2026, Cloudbet maintains a library of 4000+ games from 105+ software providers. While competitors often prioritize sheer volume (sometimes exceeding 10k+ game titles), Cloudbet seems to prioritize on the quality side. Usually, when the game count is maximized, that always has some effect on game quality.

Breakdown by game type:

  • Slots: 3100+ titles. Heavy focus on Bonus Buy and Megaways titles. Includes 55+ major Progressive Jackpots (Mega Moolah, Divine Fortune).
  • Live casino: 150+ tables.
  • Table games: 85+ titles. Strong focus on classic variants with high-RTP (for example European/French Roulette with La Partage).
  • Instant wins: 85+ titles. This is the fastest-growing segment, featuring Crash games like Aviator, Spaceman, and Speed Crash.
  • Originals: 12 titles. These are in-house made, provably fair games like Mines, Dice, Plinko and Diamonds. Almost all of these games have a RTP (Return to player) percentage of 99%, which is great.
  • Sportsbook: 37+ sports types. Includes all the basics you need, like MMA, Tennis, Football (soccer for you US guys), Basketball and Ice hockey.
  • eSports: 6+ games to bet. These include Dota 2, CS, League of Legends, FIFA, Valorant and Call of Duty. Where’s PUBG??

Here are few examples of Cloudbet’s selection of game providers. The full list may vary depending on your location.

Game providers on Cloudbet

Major giants

Evolution Gaming: The leader for Live Dealer and Game Shows (Crazy Time, Monopoly Live).
NetEnt: Known for high-RTP classics like Blood Suckers (RTP of 98%) and Starburst.
Pragmatic Play: Powers some of the most popular slots in 2026 (Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza).
Microgaming (Games Global): Offers multi-million dollar progressive jackpots like Mega Moolah.

Boutique & crypto-focused

Hacksaw Gaming: Renowned for Dark themes and extreme volatility.
Nolimit City: Famous for complex, high-multiplier mechanics (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, San Quentin).
BGaming: A pioneer in Provably Fair slots, allowing players to verify the RNG result on-chain.
Spribe: The creators of Aviator, a fun Instant Win (Crash) game niche.

Live dealer specialists

Bombay Live: Known for luxury-themed, high-limit tables for VIP players.
Ezugi: Specializes in localized games for Asian and Latin American markets (Andar Bahar, Teen Patti).
Vivo Gaming: Provides a high volume of multi-angle camera 4K streaming tables.

Others

Peter and Sons: Noted for artistic, unique visual styles (like Barbarossa Dragon Empire).
NuxGames: Offers some fast paced games.

RTP transparency

Game RTPs are accessible within individual slot information panels.

There is a some kind of a sorting tool for High RTP slots. But, it seems not to work well. If I search from the whole 3000+ slot selection, choosing High RTP slots brings only 16 search results.

Some of these show the correct RTP (like 98.12% for Marching Legions slot from Relax Gaming). But some of them show just some random RTP like 99.8% for Gamomat’s Ramses Book, which is not true. Really the RTP is 96.12% for that game.

Also, some slots show a 27.0% RTP with a sign Cold next to the slot. So, this feature seems to show an averate RTP for a some timeframe, or just a random number.

This is results from the High RTP slot selector. Results are somewhat weird like I wrote above this image.

A good try however, and I hope Cloudbet could fix this to work properly.

Provably fair games

Yes, Cloudbet features a dedicated Arcade section (including Crash, Mines, and Plinko) where outcomes can be verified provably fair on-chain.

Withdrawals

In addition to my Trust Score, I analyzed of the 11 valid community comments (filtered for bots/spam) regarding withdrawals:

  • Valid Positive Comments on withdrawals: 4 (36.4%)
  • Valid Negative Comments on withdrawals: 7 (63.6%)

Like with many other casinos, there are mixed comments on withdrawals. Some users praise the instant nature of smaller BTC payouts and the lack (or minimal) of withdrawal fees.

On the other hand, there is significant friction regarding security reviews and KYC triggers once tries to withdraw large balances (typically over $2500).

In overall, the 11 valid comments on withdrawals is somewhat small sample. I didn’t find any signs that Cloudbet would have bigger problems (like BC.game for instance) in withdrawals, so I wouldn’t be too concerned about this. The Trust Score is still on an average level, which is a good thing and a stronger signal than this.

Support, KYC & safety

In this chapter is about dry, but important things.

Customer support

24/7 Live chat is the primary channel. In 2026, average response times are under 3 minutes. There is also email support in support@cloudbet.com.

KYC policy & Terms scan

I read through the Cloudbet terms & conditions and here are the most important findings.

VPN Usage: Strictly Forbidden. Cloudbet T&C allows for account closure and balance confiscation if a user is found to be using VPN to avoid geographic restrictions.

KYC and Anonymity: Cloudbet is Semi-Anonymous. You can sign up with just an email, but terms leave the option for a full KYC (ID + Selfie + Utility Bill) for security reviews. Usually this happens if you try to withdraw larger amounts, like over $2000 or so.

If you are lucky and win big, it might be a good idea to withdraw winnings during a longer timeframe, using smaller amounts like $100 – $500. This could prevent full KYC reviews if you want to avoid them.

Licensing & Company transparency

Cloudbet is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a company registered in Curaçao.

License: Curaçao Gaming Authority under license number OGL/2024/328/0599.

Security & Fairness

Website Security: Cloudbet employs Encrypted Client Hello (ECH) and a standard SSL to protect initial connections. ECH is automatically enabled on Cloudbet to keep the connection private. For maximum protection, you can pair it with secure DNS (like Cloudflare or Google) in Chrome

Cold storage is used for the majority of user funds.

Account Security: Standard. Cloudbet offers 2FA (Google Authenticator) and session management logs.

Solvency & Trust: Stable. One of the oldest operators (est. 2013). No reports of insolvency or missing payments for casual players.

Gambling problem tools

Cloudbet offers the basic tools for treating gambling problems: Self-exclusion (also permanent), cool-off periods (24h to 6 months), and Deposit Limits.

Red flags & Historical issues

I couldn’t find pretty much any major red flags and historical issues. Being a very experienced crypto casino founded in 2013, this is a good sign that still in 2026 Cloudbet keeps operating on a decent player sentiment.

Few things I found though: There are reports of aggressive limiting of successful sportsbook accounts (reducing max bets to <$1).

Also, there are mentions of the classic crypto casino problem, KYC trap. Reports of users being allowed to deposit and play freely, only to face an KYC block the moment they attempt to withdraw significant profits. In some situations this is not a problem, but if you have used a VPN to avoid country restrictions or are a citizen of a restricted country, this might be a big problem.

Is Cloudbet legit?

Yes. When a casino has been around since the early days of Bitcoin (2013), legitimacy takes on a different meaning. In the volatile world of crypto, where platforms often vanish overnight, Cloudbet’s decade-plus track record is its strongest argument for being legit. It is operated by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. and holds a verifiable license from the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Unlike many pop-up & disappear -casinos, Cloudbet has survived multiple crypto winters without a single major insolvency scandal or run on the bank, which earns it the title of the Old Guard for a reason.

However, being legit doesn’t mean being perfect. My analysis of over 500 days of user sentiment on Reddit and Bitcointalk reveals a Trust Score of 41.7 (Average). While they are 100% reliable when it comes to paying out recreational players, they use very aggressive risk management tools that can feel unfair to some. For example, if you are a winning sports bettor, Cloudbet is known to slash your maximum bet limits to almost nothing.

Furthermore, while they offer a semi-anonymous experience, they strictly enforce their Anti-VPN policy. If you try to hide or fake your location, they are legally entitled to freeze your balance. A move that is technically legit by their terms, but a major red flag if you aren’t careful.

The verification – By my wife Johanna

My score landed roughly the same as the reviewed score – near the bottom of the Average range. With so little genuine player data out there, the score reflects the absence of evidence more than a clear verdict. And Jake trusts this Toyota Hiace.

What data exists tells a consistent story. Casual players with modest withdrawals rarely have problems. Larger winners run into account freezes and extended investigations, sometimes lasting months. The KYC trigger at withdrawal, not at sign-up, catches people off guard.

VPN usage can result in permanent account closure and balance confiscation. Takeaway for you: verify your account early, before big wins. More about Johanna here.

Happy hunting

That’s a wrap on this review.

Cloudbet is a platform that has aged well, even if it has lost some of the edge that made it a legend in 2014. If you are a casual player looking for a no-wagering first deposit bonus, Cloudbet could be a good choice.
